Security+
is one of our most popular classes. A green flag beside a class date means that session has met minimum enrollment levels and is expected to run. It is common for Security+ class dates to fill several weeks in advance. Even if a date has a green flag, you might not be able to get into that session if it is full. To avoid disappointment, it is best to register for the Security+ certification course at least several weeks in advance.
Overview
CompTIA Security+ is aimed at IT professionals with career roles such as security architect, security engineer, security consultant/specialist, information assurance technician, security administrator, systems administrator, and network administrator.
This course is the prep for CompTIA Security+ certification exam SY0-701.

Students should meet the following criteria prior to taking the Security+ certification course:
• Recommended that students have taken CompTIA Network+ certification course and exam, together with 24 months experience in networking support/IT administration
• Know the function and basic features of the components of a PC
• Use Windows Server to create and manage files and use basic administrative features (Explorer, Control Panel, Management Consoles, Command Line Tools)

Exam Prep Software
All CompTIA classes at ONLC include access to web-based practice exams. CompTIA certification exams are rigorous and challenging. By studying after the class and using these practice exams you will greatly improve your chances of passing the actual certification exam the first time.
Exam prep and study software is included with all CompTIA classes delivered by ONLC Training Centers.
ONLC’s Exam Pass Guarantee
ONLC’s CompTIA certification classes include our Exam Pass Guarantee. We want to make sure students are taking advantage of the provided Practice Exam and achieving a score of 85% or better in Certification Mode prior to us releasing the authorized exam voucher to you. The practice exam is typically ordered on the first day of class and emailed to each student. Once you email proof of the 85% or better score to
[email protected], we will release the authorized exam voucher within 24 hours. Should you fail the authorized exam on the first attempt, we will then give you a second exam voucher. However, should you decide to not do the practice exam or take the authorized exam without first achieving the 85% score on the practice exam in certification mode, our Exam Pass offer is null and void. Please read through our:
Exam Pass Guarantee
Additional Notes Regarding CompTIA Certification Exams
As with most professional IT certifications, many additional hours of study are required before the class (meeting the prerequisites) and after the class (reviewing exam objectives and practice questions). Expect to spend a significant number of hours studying outside of the class before you take a CompTIA or any other IT professional exam. The class alone won't prepare you to take the exam. You also need to study and prepare on your own for the Security Plus certification. For more information, please read our article:
